KUALA LUMPUR, October 11 — The government will allocate RM8 billion for technical and vocational education and training (TVET) across ministries under Budget 2027 to improve the skills.
And employment prospects of Malaysians. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that HRD Corp will provide three million skills training opportunities through a RM3 billion fund.
Including continuing professional development programmes for working professionals. Meanwhile, the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK) will provide RM500 million in financing for trainees.
Attending registered public and private skills training institutions. Other initiatives include training 10,000 young Malaysians in robotics and digital technologies through the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
While MARA will train and place 1,000 Bumiputera youths in high-growth industries. The programme aims to strengthen Malaysia’s skilled workforce and support industries requiring technical expertise.
