KEPALA BATAS, October 13 — An unidentified man believed to be in his 40s was found dead in a drain along Jalan Permatang Pak Elong, near Surau Permatang Pak Elong, on Sunday afternoon.
The Penang Fire and Rescue Department received a request for assistance from police at 3.52pm, with firefighters arriving at the scene at 4.04pm.
Seven firefighters from the Kepala Batas station were deployed to retrieve the body from the drain and move it to a safe location.
The body was handed over to police for further action, with the recovery operation ending at 6.44pm.
