KUALA LUMPUR, October 17 — Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad has confirmed he was one of two individuals detained by Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) officers in Petaling Jaya on Oct 15.
He said the pair were discussing a project and denied engaging in any improper conduct.
Nik Nazmi acknowledged being alone with the woman in an enclosed space when officers arrived and apologised to his wife, family and BERSAMA supporters.
He pledged cooperation with legal proceedings, said he would accept the party’s decision and urged the public to respect the legal process.
