KUALA LUMPUR, October 21 — Bersatu secretary-general Azmin Ali said Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) deregistration supported his party’s earlier complaint over alleged breaches of the coalition’s constitution.

Azmin accused the PAS-led leadership of denying Bersatu its rights during a July 16 Supreme Council meeting. He also rejected PAS claims of political victimisation ahead of the Melaka state election.

The Registrar of Societies cancelled PN’s registration after rejecting its explanation to a show-cause notice. Azmin said Bersatu would review the decision before discussing its next steps at a Supreme Leadership Council meeting.
