GENTING HIGHLANDS, October 22 — Resorts World Genting will host the second National Luminous Dragon King Championship at the Arena of Stars on Nov 28 and 29.
Featuring 20 dragon dance troupes from across Malaysia. The preliminary round will see 20 teams compete for 10 places in the final, where the national champion will be crowned.
The competition combines traditional dragon dance techniques with illuminated dragons, synchronised drumming, acrobatics and creative choreography.
A Creative Props segment will allow participating teams to showcase original designs, cultural storytelling and artistic performances.
Participating troupes include teams from Penang, Johor, Selangor, Kedah, Kelantan, Sabah and Sarawak. The two-day championship aims to preserve traditional Chinese performing arts.
While introducing contemporary elements to attract younger audiences. Two-day passes are priced at RM188 for PS1 and RM108 for PS2, with an additional RM4 processing fee per ticket.
Ticket sales begin on Oct 21 through Resorts World Genting’s official booking channels.
