GEORGE TOWN, October 23 — GEORGE TOWN, Oct 23 — Police arrested a 23-year-old SUV driver following a hit-and-run crash that killed two young motorcyclists.
Along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway early Thursday. The victims, a 22-year-old man and his 20-year-old female passenger from Kedah, died at the scene after their motorcycle.
Was allegedly struck from behind near the Penang Bridge interchange. Police said the suspect surrendered at the Northeast District Police Headquarters around 1pm Thursday.
And tested negative for drugs. The suspect is expected to be remanded Friday as police investigate the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
