MELAKA, October 25 — MCA president Wee Ka Siong and senior party leaders walked out of Barisan Nasional’s Melaka election event on Saturday, protesting seat allocations made without their agreement.
Wee said constituencies previously contested by MCA had been reassigned to other parties without proper consultation.
He accused BN leadership of changing the event’s agenda to include candidate announcements despite earlier assurances.
Wee stressed that the walkout was not a boycott of BN, but a protest over the Melaka seat allocation process, adding that MCA had yet to decide whether to contest the November 14 election.
