KUALA LUMPUR, October 27 — Batam’s first integrated resort development, Opus Bay, will begin opening in December 2026, offering a new waterfront destination just 45 minutes by ferry from Singapore.
The development includes Marina Bay Ferry Cove, a private ferry terminal located three minutes’ walk from the 493-room Balmoral Tower hotel.
Cluny Resorts, featuring 57 luxury villas, will follow in 2027, alongside a 10,000-square-metre waterfront retail promenade with nearly 80 shops and dining outlets.
The development will also feature a sports park with padel and pickleball courts, targeting leisure travellers, families and business visitors.
