KUALA LUMPUR, October 29 — The Finance Ministry has barred a petrol station in Sungai Buaya, Nibong Tebal, from selling subsidised fuel over suspected abuse of the Budi Madani programme.

Investigations uncovered more than 1,000 manual-bypass transactions involving over 100,000 litres of petrol and RM270,000 in subsidies, allegedly using customers’ MyKad details without permission.

The ministry has withheld subsidy payments and suspended nine individuals, including the station owner and family members, from the programme.

Authorities are reviewing additional transactions and warned that further action would follow against anyone found violating subsidy regulations.
