KUALA LUMPUR, November 4 — Malaysian fintech company CapBay has surpassed RM6 billion in financing, supporting more than 2,700 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Across 20 industries over the past decade. The company said its digital financing platforms help businesses access working capital through invoice and transaction assessments.
Instead of traditional collateral requirements. Budget 2027 has allocated RM270 million to encourage private investment through peer-to-peer (P2P) financing and equity crowdfunding.
CapBay said the government’s decision to introduce a fixed RM10 stamp duty for P2P financing agreements from 2027 to 2030 would further support SME financing.
