BAYAN LEPAS, November 4 — A 29-year-old man was killed and a 23-year-old woman injured in a collision involving a Rapid bus and a Modenas Z250 motorcycle near Sunshine Square in Bayan Baru late Tuesday.
The Penang Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 11.38pm. Firefighters rescued the woman at 11.55pm before she was taken to Penang Hospital.
The man, found unconscious beneath the bus, was extricated at 12.30am and pronounced dead at the scene. Eight firefighters participated in the operation, which ended at 12.42am.
