PUTRAJAYA, September 30 — Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil played down speculation surrounding a closed-door dinner involving Pakatan Harapan and Bersatu leaders in Melaka.
Saying he understood it was “just a dinner.” The gathering came as PH and Bersatu explore possible electoral cooperation ahead of the Melaka state election.
Melaka PH had earlier confirmed negotiations with Bersatu and other parties over a potential electoral understanding. Fahmi said he had limited information about Monday night’s meeting.
And stressed that any decision on political cooperation would ultimately be determined by PH’s Presidential Council.
