SEPANG, October 5 — Formula One’s return to Sepang after nine years has drawn large crowds, but transport and crowd management problems have sparked complaints from spectators.

Fans took to Threads and other social media platforms to complain about severe traffic congestion and long waits for shuttle buses, particularly when leaving the circuit.

Some spectators reported waiting several hours for transport, while others said they resorted to walking long distances after struggling to secure buses.

Complaints also included unclear queue arrangements, inadequate signage and long waits for food and drinking water during the race weekend.

Following problems on Friday, Sepang International Circuit and transport operators introduced additional measures, including improved shuttle arrangements, dedicated lanes and more personnel.

Conditions reportedly improved afterwards, although some transport delays continued, highlighting the challenge of moving tens of thousands of spectators in and out of Sepang during the F1 weekend.
