GEORGE TOWN, October 7 — Motorists using the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway will face temporary lane closures from Oct 12 as construction of an elevated U-turn enters its next phase.
IJM Land said the median-side rightmost lanes in both directions towards George Town and Bayan Lepas will remain closed until Feb 28, 2027.
Traffic diversions will be introduced to provide a safe construction area. IJM Land said the elevated U-turn, once completed, will complement the Air Itam Bypass.
And improve connectivity and traffic flow along the expressway. Motorists are advised to follow traffic signs and plan journeys ahead.
