GEORGE TOWN, October 9 — An accident involving a bus and lorry near The Light Waterfront caused severe traffic congestion along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway towards George Town on Friday morning.
Traffic updates reported delays of approximately one hour from the Penang Bridge and up to two hours for motorists travelling from the Second Penang Bridge.
Congestion also affected traffic from the Bayan Lepas Industrial Area and the opposite direction from Jelutong.
Social media reports suggested a bus had overturned, although the circumstances of the accident and any injuries have yet to be officially confirmed.
