GEORGE TOWN, October 10 — Parts of Bandar Baru Air Itam and Paya Terubong in Penang experienced a power outage Saturday morning following a fault involving an underground 11kV electricity cable.

The disruption began at approximately 6.22am, affecting electricity supply to several areas within the two neighbourhoods.

Penang state executive councillor Wong Hon Wai confirmed the incident in a social media post, saying Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) was working to restore power.

Restoration efforts remain underway, although no estimated time for full recovery has been announced.
