KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 – An insurance agent Chong Wai Sung, 44, pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here today. He was be charge of committing a criminal charge breach of trust (CBT) and fraud involving more than RM800,000.
In the CBT charge, he was allegedly failed to use his client’s Pertama Makmur Sdn Bhd RM619,441.73 to buy the insurance of the policies from Hong Leong MSIG Takaful Berhad and cause the policy to be canceled.
He was accused of committing the offence between 19 Sept 2011 and 24 Dec 2012 at Permata Makmur’s office at Kuchai Entrepreneur Park, Off Jalan Kuchai Lama, Brickfields here today.
He was also allegedly to presented the two fake policy endorsement certificates to cheat the construction supply company to believed that the insurance policy will be extended from 10 March 2014 to 10 Dec 2014.
He also encouraged the company to give him RM223,475.67 between 2 April 2014 and 31 July 2014 at the same place. Judge Mat Ghani Abdullah allowed ehe to bail of RM50,000 in one surety and set Jun 6 for re-mention.
