GEORGE TOWN, Oct 31 – A man was stuck in the 1m deep mudflats after he fell into the sea around Km 1.4 of the Penang Bridge here on Friday morning. The incident was happen about 9.30am, the man was riding his motorcycle while another motorcycle crashed into him which causes he to thrown off the island bound route of the bridge.
“We received a distress call at 9.34am. After received the call, we have sent two fire engines, two ambulances with a team of 19 officers from the Perai and Jalan Perak fire station to the scene. Upon arriving at the scene, we found the man was stuck in the mudflats. While, we pulled him up about 10.12am by using the anchoring system. The man also rushed to the Penang Hospital for the treatment due to suffered in a minor injuries,” he said.
