GEORGE TOWN, Jan 1 – New Year Eve Countdown 2018 Party was happening at several places in Penang as like M Mall 020, Queensbay Mall, Strait Quay, Gurney Paragon Mall as well as The Top, Komtar here today with the fireworks displays on the island and mainland against the city lights below.
A packed crowd of 10,000 descended at the ‘M Mall 020 2017 Countdown Concert’ at Penang Times Square to welcome the new year with their favourite stars. Meanwhile, thousands also gathered outside Queensbay Mall and had a blast as they welcomed 2018 with dazzling fireworks.
Besides that, there were also ver 10,000 people were at Straits Quay Retail Marina in Tanjung Tokong. They were in a jubilant mood, dancing to the tunes to the LED Brazlian Samba Dance, followed by Futuristic Mirror Dance and Laser Board Dance. — PN
