PUTRAJAYA, November 29 – Any procurement approval without a tender can no longer happen, stressed the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Questions of regulations, procurement, approvals without tenders are all no longer possible,” he said in a speech in front of 340 civil servants in conjunction with the Prime Minister’s Department Citizens’ Meeting, here on Tuesday.

So for this initial stage, I would like to call on you to join together in this team to save our country,” he said. Sharing his experience during his tenure as Minister of Finance once upon a time, he insisted on issuing orders prohibiting not allowing his family members or close friends to gain interest in government-related projects.

My friends know that when I was Minister of Finance, my first order was to completely prohibit family or close people from being given an interest in any government project approval,” he said.
