IPOH, July 9 – SNS Network Technology Berhad, a leading ICT products, services, and solutions provider, is making significant strides in assisting the transformation of education through its JOI for All project. As part of this initiative, the company has contributed 1,000 laptops to schools, enabling students in Malaysia to access online educational tools and familiarize themselves with technology.
The JOI for All project is an integral part of SNS Network Technology’s nationwide effort to provide ICT devices and solutions to schools, supporting the digital transformation of the Malaysian education system. By incorporating technology into education, students gain improved access to learning tools and knowledge. The recent laptop donation took place during the MADANI Education Roadshow, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Education (MOE) and facilitated by Yayasan Didik Negara.
The MADANI Education Roadshow, which commenced in late March 2023, serves as a platform to foster closer ties with MOE staff and gather valuable feedback and concerns from the education community regarding various aspects of the country’s education system.
JOI, the in-house brand of devices launched by SNS Network Technology in 2014, plays a pivotal role in the JOI for All project. The brand encompasses the JOI smart classroom framework, introduced in 2016, which integrates a wide range of features to support effective teaching and learning. It aims to enhance interaction and collaboration within educational institutions.
Ko Yun Hung, Managing Director of SNS Network Technology, emphasized the gradual shift from traditional teaching methods to technology-driven approaches. He highlighted the convenience and accessibility of educational tools and information, which bring tremendous benefits to both teachers and students. “Through educational technology, students have access to resources that enrich their learning experiences,” he explained. “Additionally, with the use of the internet, students can exchange knowledge and culture with people from different backgrounds, providing them with invaluable experiences beyond what textbooks can offer.”
Hung further emphasized the pivotal role of technology in modern education, particularly in the 21st century. He believes that the ability to use technology wisely is a crucial skill that future generations need to master. By integrating technology with education, students can develop computer literacy from an early age and cultivate innovative thinking.
The latest installment of the MADANI Education Roadshow was held in Alor Star, Kedah, and garnered participation from notable figures, including YB. Puan Fadhlina Sidek, Minister of Education, senior officials from MOE, community leaders, teachers, and students. The event served as a platform for dialogue and collaboration, further driving the education sector’s digital transformation in Malaysia.
