ABU DHABI, November 16 — PETRONAS, through its Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM) division, has announced a collaboration with Earth Science Analytics (ESA) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to integrate advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies into its exploration and production (E&P) operations. This partnership aims to enhance PETRONAS’s myPROdata platform, providing data-driven insights for the mature Malay Basin and enabling subscribers to access refined geoscience analytics.
Senior Vice President of MPM, Datuk Ir. Bacho Pilong, stated that these initiatives are essential for optimizing the Malaysia Bid Round (MBR) 2025. By utilizing AI and ML, PETRONAS hopes to empower investors and Petroleum Arrangement Contractors (PACs) with actionable data insights, facilitating smarter investment decisions in Malaysia’s oil and gas landscape. This initiative also aligns with PETRONAS’s commitment to sustainable, low-emission operations toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
