BEIJING, November 9 — Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed great satisfaction following his meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, highlighting the strengthened bilateral ties between China and Malaysia as they celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations. Reflecting on the historic milestone, Xi noted the importance of ongoing cooperation and the solid foundation laid by both nations, particularly following significant visits by Malaysian King Sultan Ibrahim and Prime Minister Anwar.
Xi emphasized the progress made since Prime Minister Anwar’s visit to China earlier this year, which he described as a pivotal moment in establishing a “China-Malaysia community with a shared future.” He highlighted the mutual benefits of their partnership, particularly in trade, development, and regional collaboration, as both countries aim to deepen ties. The president expressed confidence that the relationship between the two nations will continue to flourish, noting that trade has increased nearly 1,000-fold over the past five decades.
