PUTRAJAYA, November 23 — IOI Properties Group Berhad (IOIPG) has officially launched its IOI Sustain Roadmap 2030 (ISR 2030), a comprehensive strategic blueprint focused on achieving sustainable growth across the Group’s operations. The roadmap includes 12 strategic thrusts addressing key Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors, including climate change, biodiversity, and waste management.
A significant milestone under ISR 2030 is the energising of Malaysia’s largest mall rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system at IOI City Mall in Putrajaya, which is expected to avoid over 4,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. The 4 MWp solar PV system, developed in collaboration with TERA VA Sdn Bhd, adds to the mall’s existing 3.5 MWp system and aligns with IOIPG’s decarbonisation goals.
This expansion is part of the Group’s broader commitment to renewable energy, with ongoing investments in solar energy for its various properties. The initiative is expected to help IOIPG meet its net-zero aspirations and contribute significantly to Malaysia’s renewable energy transition.
