GEORGE TOWN, November 19 – The Northeast District Police Headquarters held a formal handover ceremony today for the roles of District Police Chief and Chairperson of the PERKEP Northeast District. The event commenced with prayers, the recitation of an oath, and the donning of rank insignia, followed by the signing of the official handover documents.

Superintendent Lee Swee Sake handed over the position to ACP Abdul Rozak bin Muhammad, under the witness of Penang Police Chief CP Datuk Hamzah bin Hj. Ahmad. Superintendent Lee had been acting as District Police Chief since September 30, 2024, following the appointment of the former Chief, ACP Razlam bin Ab Hamid, as the Head of the PDRM Penang Contingent Management Department.

Additionally, the position of PERKEP Northeast District Chairperson was transferred from Acting Chairperson DSP Amira binti Ariffin to YBhg Puan Aesah binti Harun. The ceremony was attended by senior police officials, department heads, district police chiefs, formation leaders, PERKEP members, and civil staff, reflecting the unity and support within the department for its leadership transition.
