VIETNAM, November 26 — Solarvest Holdings Berhad has officially introduced its Powervest solar financing program in Vietnam, marking a milestone in the country’s clean energy transition. Unveiled during the DEX Connex Vietnam 2024 event by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), the program offers tailored financial solutions to address the high upfront costs of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
With options such as Powerflex and Powerlease, businesses can adopt renewable energy without significant financial barriers, leveraging Vietnam’s Direct Power Purchase Agreement (DPPA) framework. In partnership with Malaysia-based fintech company Finhero, Solarvest launched Vietnam’s first solar financing fintech platform to streamline financing applications.
The collaboration, formalized through an MoU and witnessed by Malaysian Consul General Firdauz Othman, integrates advanced technologies for faster credit assessments and financial guidance. Solarvest’s Business Development Director Dang Khai Hoang emphasized the program’s role in making solar energy accessible to all business sizes, while MDEC CEO Anuar Fariz Fadzil highlighted its potential to drive innovation and sustainability in Vietnam’s dynamic tech ecosystem.
