KUALA LUMPUR, November 30 – In a landmark event, “5G Capital on the Way – Lighting Up Beijing with 5G-Advanced,” China Unicom Beijing and Huawei unveiled the world’s first large-scale integrated 5G-Advanced intelligent network. Covering key areas like the Workers’ Stadium and the Great Wall scenic area, this ultra-large-scale 3CC network offers groundbreaking capabilities such as 10-gigabit speeds and air-ground integrated communications.

These innovations support a wide range of services, including immersive videos, UHD live streaming, and extended reality applications, marking a transformative leap in connectivity for over 10 million residents in Beijing. The network’s high- and low-band integration underpins ambitious projects like the low-altitude economy innovation base in Yanqing and the 5G-Advanced smart commercial complex at the Workers’ Stadium.

With end-to-end AI-driven optimization and self-provisioning capabilities, the initiative showcases the potential of 5G-Advanced in empowering industries, enhancing user experiences, and driving economic growth. “This achievement redefines global benchmarks for 5G networks,” said Li Jie, President of Huawei’s 5G&LTE TDD Domain.
