BATU KAWAN, November 26 – Mohamad Akid Aziz of Petronas Sprinta Yamaha CKJ Racing secured the 2025 Malaysian Cub Prix Championship, clinching the title despite a dramatic finale at Batu Kawan, Penang. The final round of the 2024 season saw Azroy Hakeem Anuar of Honda Estremo Yuzy Racing take a thrilling win, fending off strong challenges from Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin and Ahmad Afif Amran. Azroy led from pole position and despite a red-flagged race and a restart, managed to finish 1.467 seconds ahead of Kasma to claim his second victory of the season.

The season finale was marred by a crash from Akid, who had an eight-point lead over Azroy going into the race. Despite the setback, Akid’s consistent performance throughout the season secured him the overall championship with 125 points. Azroy’s efforts in the final round, which included two wins and two second-place finishes across the season, earned him second place in the overall standings. Kasma finished third overall with 124 points, just ahead of Azroy’s 121 points.

In the CP125 category, Md Syamil Amsyar Md Iffende of Petronas Sprinta Yamaha – 31 Racing claimed the championship with a victory at Batu Kawan, while Md Irfan Haykhal Amidi secured second in the race, finishing third overall. In the KBS Hero class, Farres Putra Md Fadhil, also from Petronas Sprinta Yamaha – CKJ Racing, took the title despite finishing fourth in the final race. The 2024 Malaysian Cub Prix season concluded with intense competition, setting the stage for an even more exciting 2025 campaign.
