KUALA LUMPUR, December 4 – In response to the ongoing floods across the country, the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) and the Malaysian Youth Volunteer Community (MYVOC) have initiated the #ProjectUnderwear2.0 relief mission. This effort focuses on distributing essential items such as undergarments for men, women, and children, as well as sanitary pads, to evacuees in temporary shelters (PPS).
Building on the success of a similar project during the 2021 floods, MBM aims to provide an initial distribution of 3,000 packs in Kelantan, with post-flood recovery support to follow. MBM has called for public contributions to meet the urgent needs of flood victims. Donations can be made to the Tabung Kemanusiaan Majlis Belia Malaysia account (Maybank: 5640 2540 3782, reference: Banjir2024).
For further information, contact Zahirah at (019) 314 7271. MBM also urges Malaysians to pray for those affected and to extend assistance to ease the hardships of those facing this calamity.
