KUALA LUMPUR, December 7 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has highlighted the importance of strengthening the pursuit of knowledge as a cornerstone for Malaysia’s aspirations to become a MADANI nation.
Speaking at the launch of the books Amanah Dakwah and Mohamad Natsir: Ilmuwan Ulung Alam Melayu Abad ke-20 in Bangi, Anwar emphasized the need to reinforce intellectual and moral foundations, especially among the youth, to elevate the dignity of the ummah and prepare the nation for challenges like digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.
Anwar stressed that knowledge encompasses not only technical skills but also the values and philosophies that foster a harmonious society. He urged Malaysians to embody the principle of addabani rabbi fa ahsana ta’dibi (My Lord has taught me well), integrating divine values with scholarship.
The launched books, exploring the lives of prominent figures in Islamic history, aim to inspire the younger generation with models of intellectual and moral excellence.
