KOTA KINABALU, December 23 – The DAP Central Executive Committee (CEC) has given its Sabah leadership full authority to review the party’s role in the state administration following corruption allegations against senior state leaders. The resolution was made after a meeting at the DAP headquarters, where Sabah DAP chairman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe presented a detailed briefing on the matter.
DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke reiterated the party’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption, urging the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate thoroughly. Phoong, the state’s Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship, and his DAP colleagues, including Assistant Minister of Finance Tan Lee Fatt, are expected to make key decisions on the party’s position in the administration.
Other DAP assemblymen in Sabah, Datuk Frankie Poon and Jannie Lasimbang, hold leadership roles in state-linked agencies.
