KUALA LUMPUR, December 24 – Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain has reaffirmed that border security remains a top priority for Malaysia in safeguarding the nation from various threats.

Speaking at a handover ceremony, Razarudin highlighted the RM560 million allocation for the Internal Security and Public Order Department (JKDNKA) under Budget 2025, which will be used to combat smuggling activities, including drugs, firearms, contraband, exotic animals, and human trafficking.

The funds will also support efforts to prevent terrorist infiltration in remote areas, particularly in Sabah, to ensure economic stability. Razarudin also introduced the newly appointed directors, Datuk Seri Azmi Abu Kassim as the new JKDNKA director and Datuk Abdul Aziz Abdul Majid as the new director of Bukit Aman’s Management Department.

He expressed confidence in their leadership and ability to strengthen operations with the support of over 25,600 personnel across various sectors. Additionally, Razarudin commended JKDNKA for its successful operations, including seizures valued at over RM926 million, further solidifying the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) reputation.
