KOTA KINABALU, December 26 – Sabah FC booked their place in the semi-finals of the 2024 Malaysia Cup with a narrow 1-0 aggregate victory over Kuching City FC. A goalless draw in the second leg at the Likas Stadium was enough for the Sang Badak, thanks to their earlier win in Kuching.

The match saw intense efforts from both sides, with Kuching City pressing hard to overturn the deficit. Despite their dominance in the first half, Kuching City failed to convert opportunities into goals. Sabah, while focused on defense, managed a few counterattacks, including long-range attempts from Stuart John Wilkin and a near-goal from Telmo Castanheira.

With this result, Sabah FC advances to face Sri Pahang FC in the semi-finals as they chase a coveted spot in the tournament’s final. The clash promises to be a thrilling contest as both teams vie for Malaysia Cup glory.
