KUALA LUMPUR, December 29 — Rapid KL will extend its rail and bus services to accommodate New Year’s Eve 2025 celebrations, with trains operating until 3 am and selected bus routes running until 3.30 am on January 1. The extended services will cover 18 rail stations, four Rapid Transit bus stations, and 20 key Rapid KL bus and feeder routes, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd announced today.
To ease congestion, train frequency will increase on all rail lines from 7.30 pm on December 31. Key rail stations such as KLCC, Masjid Jamek, and Bukit Bintang will remain open for public convenience. Over 2,700 Rapid KL staff, including auxiliary police, will be on duty to ensure smooth operations. Prasarana encourages residents to use public transportation and recommends preparing adequate Touch ’n Go card balances for a hassle-free journey.
