KUALA LUMPUR, January 26 – Over 150 industry leaders convened today at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) for the “Future of Supply Chains: Optimising, Planning, and Automating for Success” forum. Co-organised by MIDA and Ally Logistic Property (ALP), the event explored innovative strategies to reshape Malaysia’s supply chain landscape, with a focus on digital transformation and sustainability.
Highlighting the government’s proactive role, MIDA Deputy CEO Zalina Zainol announced new incentives such as tax exemptions for Smart Logistics Complex companies under Budget 2025, aimed at driving Industry 4.0 adoption in logistics. The forum featured dynamic sessions on supply chain optimisation and automation, bringing together industry players like SPX Express, Ninja Van, and 7-Eleven Malaysia.
Topics ranged from leveraging smart technologies in warehousing to ROI timelines for automation investments. Participants also witnessed cutting-edge technology demonstrations and built strategic partnerships, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a global logistics hub. Charlie Chang, CEO of ALP, praised the collaboration with MIDA and industry associations, emphasizing the transformative potential of integrating smart technologies into logistics.
