Apple is gearing up to launch the highly anticipated iPhone SE 4 next week, featuring a design overhaul inspired by the iPhone 14. According to industry analyst Ross Young, the new SE model will incorporate a notch display instead of the Dynamic Island seen in Apple’s flagship devices. The upgrade marks a significant shift from the previous iPhone SE’s iPhone 8-style design, bringing a larger 6.1-inch OLED screen and a flat-edged frame.
Beyond aesthetics, the iPhone SE 4 will introduce substantial performance improvements, including Apple’s A18 chip, 8GB of RAM, and full Apple Intelligence support. It will also transition from Lightning to USB-C charging, in line with EU regulations. Additionally, Apple is debuting its first in-house modem in the SE 4, replacing Qualcomm’s chip for cellular connectivity.
The new SE model will also adopt Face ID, eliminating the Home button, and sport a 48MP rear camera for enhanced photography. Bloomberg reports that Apple plans to announce the iPhone SE 4 through a press release rather than a dedicated event, further solidifying its status as an affordable yet powerful entry into Apple’s lineup.
