IPOH, February 6 — Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamed announced that 8,825 affordable homes have been completed across the state between 2018 and 2024, with an additional 4,450 units expected this year. These homes, built under the Rumah Perakku initiative, have received Certificates of Completion and Compliance (CCC), ensuring quality and livability for residents.

Saarani credited the success to collaboration between various state and federal agencies, including the Perak Housing and Property Board (LPHP) and Perak State Secretary Incorporated (SSI). Looking ahead, Perak aims to develop 57,407 new homes by 2030 to meet growing housing demand.

The plan includes a mix of low-cost (5,741 units), medium-cost (5,741 units), affordable (11,481 units), and open-priced housing (34,444 units), ensuring accessibility for all income groups. Saarani reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to providing quality, affordable housing, particularly for the less fortunate, as part of Perak’s long-term development strategy.
