PUTRAJAYA, February 17 – The amendment to the Whistleblower Protection Act 2010 is expected to be tabled in Parliament by March or April, pending Cabinet approval, said MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki. The changes aim to strengthen whistleblower protections and enhance governance in combating corruption and misconduct.

Azam also confirmed that the Freedom of Information Bill is expected to be tabled in July, while the Political Funding Bill will likely be introduced next year. These initiatives align with the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) to bolster transparency and accountability in public administration before its 2028 deadline.
