KUALA LUMPUR, February 19 — AmBank has launched the AmVault Savings Account/-i, a secure banking solution designed to protect customers from digital threats by allowing deposits via online transfers while requiring in-person verification for withdrawals at any AmBank or AmBank Islamic branch. With a minimum deposit of RM20 and no annual fee, the account offers a safe alternative for long-term savings while ensuring full control over funds.
Cheong Chee Wai, Managing Director of Retail Banking at AmBank, emphasized that the new account minimizes risks associated with online fraud and scams, providing customers with peace of mind. AmBank continues to enhance digital security measures, including the upcoming transition to AmSecure as the primary authentication method for online card transactions and stricter device binding protocols starting in 2025.
