KUALA LUMPUR, February 10 — An internal investigation into the alleged misconduct of a Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) advisory board member linked to a RM4 million project is expected to conclude this week, according to KL Mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif. The probe, conducted by a technical investigation committee and a steering committee, aims to review the tender awarding process between 2023 and early 2024, particularly regarding the non-open tender selection.

Datuk Seri Maimunah emphasized that the investigation focuses on governance, procurement, and financial processes, while the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is also reviewing relevant documents. Although no board member has been called in for questioning yet, the allegation involves a film producer and director linked to the project. Updates on the findings are expected soon as both DBKL and MACC investigations remain ongoing.
