KUALA TERENGGANU, February 15 – Kuala Lumpur City FC made history by securing their first-ever Super League victory in Terengganu since 1997, defeating the hosts 2-1 at Gong Badak. The win also marked KL City’s first league triumph of 2025, ending a string of disappointing results following their exits from the Malaysia Cup and Shopee Cup.
Despite Terengganu entering the match as favourites in fourth place on the league table compared to KL City’s 10th position, Miroslav Kuljanac’s squad defied expectations. Goals from KL City’s determined lineup overturned Terengganu’s previous 2-0 win in Cheras last August, sealing a long-awaited victory and erasing a 28-year away record at one of Malaysian football’s toughest venues.
