KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 – The Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) has urged the public to be cautious of fraudulent websites impersonating its official platform. The ministry identified https://www.motacgov.com/semakan/tobtab/#/ and https://www.motacgov.com/#/ as fake sites created by irresponsible parties to mislead consumers with invalid information or unauthorized services.

Motac is actively working with relevant authorities to block and shut down these fraudulent websites to prevent potential scams. The ministry stressed that official tourism-related information can only be accessed through its verified website, https://www.motac.gov.my/.

Members of the public who encounter suspicious travel sites or fall victim to scams are encouraged to report through the Public Complaints Management System (SISPAA) at https://motac.spab.gov.my/, email [email protected], or contact the hotline at 03-8000 8000. Motac remains committed to protecting consumers and ensuring a secure tourism ecosystem in Malaysia.
