PUTRAJAYA, March 16 – Public servants in Malaysia will have the option of flexible working hours during Ramadan, allowing them to leave work 30 minutes earlier if they opt for a shorter break, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil announced. The arrangement, finalized after discussions with the Chief Secretary to the Government and the Director-General of Public Service, offers two choices.
Maintaining regular hours (Option A) or reducing break time to depart 30 minutes early (Option B). Fahmi advised government employees to consult their department heads for clarification and reminded those choosing Option B to ensure all work responsibilities are completed before leaving.
