PETALING JAYA, March 20 – Air Selangor, in partnership with Schneider Electric, has successfully completed Malaysia’s first Digital Twin Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at Semenyih 2 WTP, setting a new benchmark in water management efficiency.
Equipped with advanced Asset Digital Twin technology, the fully automated plant can autonomously handle operations, achieving up to a 20% productivity boost while delivering 100 million litres per day (MLD).
The initiative has also garnered global recognition, being shortlisted for the Global Water Awards 2025 under the ‘Water Project of the Year’ category, affirming its impact on sustainability and innovation.
