KUALA LUMPUR, March 13 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim met with U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia Edgard D. Kagan in Putrajaya to discuss Malaysia-U.S. bilateral relations, with a focus on economic and technological cooperation, including halal certification.
As ASEAN Chair for 2025, Anwar highlighted the ASEAN-United States Special Summit and formally invited U.S. President Donald Trump to attend the upcoming East Asia Summit later this year, reinforcing Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening regional and global partnerships.
