KUALA LUMPUR, March 23 – Vietjet has announced a new direct flight from Singapore to Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s renowned “Pearl Island,” set to launch on May 30, 2025 with four weekly round-trip flights. This expansion brings Vietjet’s total flights between Singapore and Vietnam to 78 per week, enhancing trade and tourism links across Southeast Asia.

Additionally, the airline secured a US$300 million aircraft financing deal with Carlyle Aviation Partners to bolster its fleet expansion. Vietjet also inked a strategic partnership with Satair, an Airbus Services company, for Integrated Material Services (IMS) to optimize fleet efficiency.

Chairwoman Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thaoemphasized the airline’s role in strengthening economic, cultural, and trade exchanges, positioning Vietnam’s major cities as rising aviation hubs in Asia.
