GEORGE TOWN, April 2 – In conjunction with the International Day of Forests (IDF), the Consumers’ Association of Penang (CAP) highlights the critical role of Malaysia’s forests in sustaining biodiversity, supporting livelihoods, and combating climate change.
Despite past government commitments, Malaysia continues to face alarming deforestation rates, threatening its rich ecosystems and endangered wildlife. CAP urges all stakeholders to enhance forest protection, restore degraded areas, and establish essential wildlife corridors to ensure the survival of these living treasures for future generations.
