KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 – The Asia Foundation’s Go Digital ASEAN initiative has successfully trained more than 11,400 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Malaysia, equipping them with essential digital skills to scale their businesses.
With 77% of participants reporting revenue growth, the program, funded by Google.org and endorsed by ASEAN and MECD, aligns with Malaysia’s National Entrepreneurship Policy to accelerate digital adoption. Through tailored training modules covering e-commerce, cybersecurity, and AI, the initiative has empowered business owners like Dr. Chan Pick Kuen and SY Phang to expand their digital presence, boost revenue, and reach new markets.
With 98% of participants gaining confidence in digital tools, Go Digital ASEAN continues to strengthen MSMEs, fostering sustainable growth across the region.
