KUALA LUMPUR, April 3 – The Ministry of Transport has deployed Road Transport Department (JPJ) mobile counters in Putra Heights to assist victims of the recent gas pipeline fire in replacing lost transport documents.
Transport Minister Anthony Lokeannounced that the counters would operate on Thursday and Friday at strategic locations, including mosques, to facilitate the reissuance of vehicle registration certificates, driver’s licenses, and road tax for affected vehicle owners.
Loke also stated that the ministry is working with the General Insurance Association of Malaysia (PIAM) to coordinate insurance-related support for victims. The tragic incident has impacted 529 individuals, with 111 people currently receiving medical treatment.
The government remains committed to ensuring those affected receive the necessary assistance to recover from the disaster.
