KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 – Victims of the Putra Heights gas pipeline explosion have begun returning to their homes in stages today, with 41 houses cleared for re-entry following safety inspections. According to Petaling district officer Huzunul Khaidil Mohammed, authorities, including Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) and the Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), are conducting final electrical and structural assessments on all 115 affected homes.

While some homes sustained minor damage, others were completely destroyed, leaving residents in temporary shelters, anxious for compensation and government aid. Many survivors are still reeling from the disaster, demanding answers from authorities. Many fear prolonged displacement and hope for swift government action to restore their community.
